Solar Fridge Vent
A Solar Powered Refrigerator Roof Vent uses the power of the sun to ventilate the rear of your refrigerator. Additional ventilation allows your RV refrigerator to reach cooling temperature faster and operate cooler.
31-4450 Solar Panel & Fan Kit 72-6085 Interior Circulating Fan ONLY
The DC fan connects directly to the solar panel and mounts anywhere in the compartment behind the refrigerator to direct airflow upward to cool the condenser and absorber coils, increasing the efficiency of the refrigerator by up to 40%. The fan will operate on solar power during the heat of the day, eliminating the need for complicated wiring with thermostat and switches. The vent cap is made from UV stabilized, durable polypropylene plastic and includes a fan and built-in solar panel to power it. This vent cap fits all Dometic and most Norcold vent bases with included hardware.
The fan can be mounted on the back of the refrigerator, being careful not to penetrate any vital parts. Mounting of the fan can be high in the compartment through the roof vent, or low through the outside access panel. Airflow should be directed upward, in either case. The fan is wired to the solar panel by a simple plug-in. For large refrigerators, and additional solar panel and fan can be added to the available space on the vent cover.
